Weekly summary of the War on Gaza, October 17, 2025
Caption: Palestinians went back to some of their homes only to find rubble following Israeli forces withdrawal from 47% of Gaza.
Daily Death Tolls:
- On October 10, 2025, 17 Palestinians were killed, and 77 others were injured by Israeli fire and bombardment in the Gaza Strip, 5 of whom were injured while lining up to get aid from GHF.
- On October 11, 2025, the bodies of 151 Palestinians arrived at hospitals, 161 of whom were uncovered from earlier Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip. GHF dismantled its structures in Gaza.
- On October 12, 2025, the bodies of 124 Palestinians arrived at hospitals, 117 of whom were uncovered from earlier Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip. On the same day, 35 bodies of Palestinians arrived in Gaza from Israel as part of the exchange deal between Hamas and Israel. Hamas has released all living 20 Israeli hostages and dozens of bodies of Israelis killed due to Israeli bombardment in Gaza. Dozens of bodies remain in Gaza and Hamas finds a difficulty identifying their location due to the massive destruction in Gaza.
- On October 13, 2025, the bodies of 63 Palestinians arrived at hospitals, 60 of whom were uncovered from earlier Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.
- On October 14, 2025, the bodies of 44 Palestinians arrived at hospitals, 38 of whom were uncovered from earlier Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.
- On October 15, 2025, the bodies of 25 Palestinians arrived at hospitals, 16 of whom were uncovered from earlier Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip and 35 others were injured by Israeli fire. On the same day, the bodies of 45 Palestinians arrived in Gaza from Israel. Marks of torture, execution, blindfolding and handcuffing were visible on the bodies of Palestinians.
- On October 16, 2025, the bodies of 29 Palestinians arrived at hospitals, 22 of whom were uncovered from earlier Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, 3 died of injuries they sustained before and 35 others were injured by Israeli fire. 30 more bodies of Palestinians were handed over to the Palestinians by Israel.
- On October 17, 2025, Israeli shelling targeted 10 Palestinians to the east of Gaza, one was injured and the fate of the other 9 is still unknown. Medics were not allowed the area beyond the yellow line, a line that separates Israeli forces and Gazans according to the new ceasefire agreement.
Total Death Tolls:
- The number of Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023 has reached 67,967, and 170,179 were injured. This does not include about 15,000 Palestinians who are still under the rubble of their homes.
- The total number of Palestinians who were killed while lining up to get aid has reached 2,651 and those injured 19,177.
- The total number of Palestinian bodies received from Israel has reached 120 bodies this week. Hamas has handed over the bodies of 10 Israelis to the Red Cross.
