Weekly summary of the War on Gaza, March 21

-
On Tuesday March 18, hell broke loose in Gaza. Israeli forces carried out a massive campaign of airstrikes, shelling, and shootings across the Gaza Strip. Dozens of airstrikes targeted homes, schools, and tents, claiming the lives of 700+ so far.
-
Prior to that, Israeli forces killed dozens of Palestinians (about 50) in separate shooting and bombing incidents. In a single airstrike, 10 Palestinians were killed by a drone strike after they took footage of a local Iftar organized by a charity. The bodies of 24 Palestinians were moved from Al-Shifa hospital to proper cemeteries. A report by the Ministry of education indicated that 13,000 students have been killed by Israel since October 7.
-
Among the victims were over 200 children and 100 women. Another 900 Palestinians have been injured, a majority of them being children and women as well.
-
Airstrikes continued throughout Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, taking the lives of dozens more. On Wednesday alone, 70 Palestinians were killed. Many were from the Abu Daqqa family after Israeli airstrikes targeted a number of homes belonging to the extended family. An Israeli airstrike killed 24 Palestinians in Northern Gaza which targeted a funeral.
-
The prices of food have risen by 200% immediately after Israel closed crossings three weeks ago, these prices have gone up even more following Israel’s airstrikes.
-
Israeli tanks have advanced towards the Salah Al-Deen Street, shutting down the street that connects Gaza’s North with the South from the east.
-
The situation in Gaza requires immediate intervention. I didn’t list each bombing or air strike that took place in Gaza over the past week because they are too many to count. Entire families were wiped out. 7 women and children had their legs amputated without anesthesia. 125 Palestinians were killed in Gaza on Thursday.
