Weekly summary of the War on Gaza, March 20, 2026
Caption: Palestinians in Gaza experienced another stand-storm this week, further complicating their living conditions.
Daily Death Tolls:
• On March 14, 2026, 13 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes on Gaza 7 others were injured. Of the 13 were 9 police officers who were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Deir Al-Balah.
• On March 15, 2026, four Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire and attacks in Gaza and another lost his life due to injuries sustained earlier, 8 others were injured.
• On March 16, 2026, 8 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes and fire in Gaza, 17 others were injured.
• On March 17, 2026, two Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in Gaza, 20 others were injured.
• On March 18, 2026, the bodies of four Palestinians arrived at Gaza’s hospitals, three were killed that day and one lost his life due to earlier injuries, and 14 others were injured.
Total Death Tolls:
• Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect in Gaza on October 10, 2025, 677 Palestinians have been killed, 1813 have been injured, and 756 bodies have been uncovered from under the rubble of their homes.
• The number of Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,253 with 171,912 injured.
• The Israeli government said it will open the Rafah Crossing for the first time since the outbreak of war with Iran to allow nine patients out along with 17 family members. Gaza’s commercial crossings were open, but the amount of aid getting into Gaza has been reduced. The amount of aid getting into Gaza has been reduced by 80% since the outbreak of war with Iran.
• Palestinians in Gaza will mark Eid, the holiday that follows a month of fasting in Islam. This year, Eid brings back more memories of loss and devastation. This is the 5th Eid in Gaza during genocide.
