Weekly summary of the War on Gaza, August 7, 2026

Daily Death Tolls:
• On July 31 and August 1, 8 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire including one who died of earlier injuries and 76 others were injured.
• On August 2, 2026, 7 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire including one who died of an earlier injury and 23 others were injured.
• On August 3, 2026, 19 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire and airstrikes across the Gaza Strip and 35 were injured.
• On August 4, 2026, 2 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire and airstrikes across the Gaza Strip and 10 were injured.
• On August 5, 2026, 4 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire and airstrikes across the Gaza Strip and 1 was injured. Two of the bodies were uncovered from under the rubble.
Total Death Tolls:
• Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect in Gaza on October 10, 2025, 1254 Palestinians have been killed, and 4121 have been injured, and 804 bodies have been uncovered from under the rubble of their homes.
• The number of Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,381 with 174,231 injured.
• About 91 Palestinians including patients and their families left Gaza through Egypt for medical treatment this week.
• Israel has expanded the Yellow Line in the middle area of the Gaza Strip, extending beyond the Salah Aldeen Street for the first time.
• Over the past week, Israel has released 24 Palestinians from Gaza who were held in Israeli jails.
• Only 63,094 trucks have entered the Gaza Strip out of the 180,000 that were supposed to have entered by August 6, which makes 35% of the trucks that should have been allowed in.
• Israel has allowed only 10,703 travelers to pass through, out of the 27,400 who were supposed to travel since the agreement to open the Rafah crossing was reached, representing 39%.
• Palestinians have organized a mass funeral for 112 Palestinians from Abu-Shariaa/Al-Hassanat family who were been buried under the rubble of their homes for more than 1000 days after being uncovered by Civil Defense teams.
