Weekly Gaza Update, April 4

• Massive sounds of explosions were heard in Gaza throughout the week due to what Palestinians believe new types of weapons tested and used in Gaza.
• Last Friday: 26 Palestinians were killed, 70 others were injured over the period of 24 hours.

On Saturday:

• Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli shelling of Mushtaha street in Al-Shujayia.
• Six Palestinians from the Qudaih family were killed by Israeli shelling to the east of Khan Younis.
• A child was killed and 5 others were injured by Israeli fire in Rafah.
• 4 Palestinians were killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a donkey cart in Khan Younis.
• Israel issued an evacuation order to the east of Khan Younis, forcing the displacment of tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians.

On Sunday:

• Three Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Deir Al-Balah while they were having their Iftar meal.
• Four Palestinians from the Al-Qadi family were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their tent in Al-Mawasi.
• Two Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on Qahawaji family home in Khan Younis.
• The bodies of 17 Palestinians killed by Israel arrived at Nasser medical complex.
• A Palestinian, his wife, and their child were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their tent in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp.
• Two Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis.
• The bodies of 13 civil defense members and medics who went missing after entering an area besieged by the Israeli military in Rafah were found dead. Many of them had ties on their hands and were shot in their heads.

On Monday:

• 80 Palestinians were killed on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.
• 9 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Hamad city in Khan Younis.
• Israel has issued an evacuation order for the city of Rafah, about 140,000 were displaced. Following massive bombings, Israel cut off Rafah from the rest of the Gaza Strip, establishing a new corridor there known as the Moraj corridor, which is named after an Israeli settlement that used to exist in Rafah until 2005.
• Two Palestinians, including a 12-year old, were killed by Israeli shelling of Jabaliya.
• 6 Palestinians from the Moamar family were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their home in Khan Younis.
• 4 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on Miqdad family home in Khan Younis.
• 3 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli shelling of Al-Mudassar village to the east of central Gaza.
• 6 Palestinians from the Al-Farra family were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis.
• Three Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on Khan Younis.
• Two Palestinians including a woman were killed by an Israeli airstrike on Al-Bureij refugee camp.
• Three Palestinians from the Abualian family were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their family home in Khan Younis.
• 10 Palestinians from the Hamada family were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their family home in Gaza city.
• Three other Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike that targeted Al-Bureij refugee camp.
• Three Palestinians from the Alokor family were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis.
• Three Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on a tent in Al-Zawaydia.
• Palestinian child Reem Al-Billi, 16, stayed for 4 days under the rubble of her family home bombed by Israel. She dug her way out using her hands, and she survived on drops of water. Her family was shocked to see her emerge out of the rubble and walk towards the town of Beit Hanoun.

On Tuesday:

• Israel issued an evacuation order for Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun and Jabaliya.
• Three Palestinians from the Al-Loulu family were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Deir Al-Balah.
• Three Palestinians from the Aburiziq family were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis.

On Wednesday

• 77 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip.
• 15 Palestinians from the Abdelbari family were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their home in Khan Younis.
• Two Palestinians from the Nijim family were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their family home in Al-Nuseirat.
• 20 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike that targeted an UNRWA clinic now used as a shelter by displaced Palestinians in Jabaliya refugee camp.
• 3 Palestinians from the Ayyash family were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their home in Al-Nuseirat.
• 8 Palestinian farmers were killed by an Israeli airstrike to the east of Khan Younis.
• Two Palestinian police officers were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their car in Gaza city.
• 4 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on the vocational training center in Deir Al-Balah on Wednesday.
• 6 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in Al-Nasser area in Rafah.
• 4 Palestinian police officers were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Deir Al-Balah.
• Six Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike in Rafah.
• Dozens of Palestinians besieged in Rafah sent pleas for help to get them out as they were encircled by the Israeli military.

On Thursday:

• Israeli forces issued an evacuation order to the residents of Al-Shujayia.
• 17 Palestinians from the Shurrab family were killed by three Israeli airstrikes on three homes in Khan Younis.
• 10 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on a tent in Al-Katiba area in Khan Younis.
• 5 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on Al-Aqad family home in Khan Younis.
• Dr. Ahmad Talal Al-Khudari was killed along with his family in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his home.
• 20 Palestinians from the Abuheen family and other families in Al-Shujayia were killed after Israeli forces detonated an explosive device in their neighborhood.
• 3 Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike on Al-Sabra.
• 13 Palestinians killed by Israel arrived at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis.
• A number of Palestinians were killed by two Israeli airstrikes that targeted a tent in Khan Younis and a car in Shujaiya.

News from today: Israel killed 25 people from the same family, the Al-Aqaad family in a single airstrike in Khan Younis (70 were in building, rest under rubble), Today Israel also targeted the Dar Al Arqam school in Al-Shujayiah killing 40 people who 

At least 1100 Palestinians have been killed, 2600 have been injured, since the resumption of Israeli military attacks on Gaza on March 18. 50,423 Palestinians were killed and 114,000 were injured since October 7, 2023. This does not include the bodies of 14,000 Palestinians who remain under the rubble of their homes.
