Weekly summary of the War on Gaza, April 10, 2026

Daily Death Tolls:
• On March April 3, 2026, 3 Palestinians were injured by Israeli fire in Gaza.
• On April 5, 2026, the bodies of 4 Palestinians arrived at Gaza’s hospitals, 3 were unocovered from under the rubble and one was killed that day by Israeli fire, 5 others were injured.
• On April 6, 2026, 7 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes and fire in Gaza, 17 others were injured.
• On April 7, 10 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes and fire in Gaza, and 44 others were injured.
• On April 8, 3 Palestinians died of injuries susatined the day before and 3 others were injured.
On April 9, 4 Palestinians were killed Israeli fire and 21 others were injured. This includes Aljazeera journalist Muhammad Wishah, whose car was targeted by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza city. 9-year-old Ritaj Abu Ilian was killed by an Israeli bullet in the head while being at a school to the north of Gaza. On the same day, Israeli authorities released 14 Palestinian prisoners from Gaza and handed them over the Red Cross.
Total Death Tolls:
• Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect in Gaza on October 10, 2025, 740 Palestinians have been killed (25 over the past week), and 2036 have been injured, and 759 bodies have been uncovered from under the rubble of their homes.
• The number of Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,319 with 173,158 injured.
• The Israeli government opened the Rafah Crossing for limited traffic, allowing dozens of Palestinian patients and their families out. The crossing was shut down on Thursday. Commericial crossings continue to open with restrictions imposed on the number of trucks entering Gaza.
