- Mahmoud Ziad Saidam wrote on Facebook: “I tried to take care of you, but I couldn't, as much as I tried. I was homeless in Rafah for two months, hiding you in one place to another, but it didn't work out. Even when we were bombed, I ran to you and took you to the hospital, but you were dying in the car and I couldn't do anything. Say to God, dad, why were you afraid to run when there was a bombing? Say to God, dad, everything, you tell everything. I love you, Ziad, but you were in a hurry to leave, my love.
