Weekly summary of the War on Gaza, May 29, 2026

Daily Death Tolls:
• On May 22 and 23, 2026, the bodies of 8 Palestinians arrived at Gaza’s hospitals, 7 of them were killed by Israeli fire and one was uncovered from under the rubble of their home and 29 others were injured.
• On May 25 2026, 6 Palestinians were killed, including one of who died of earlier injuries, and 8 were injured by Israeli fire and airstrikes across the Gaza Strip.
• On May 26, 2026, the bodies of 6 Palestinians arrived at Gaza’s hospitals, four of them were uncovered from under the the rubble and the other 2 were killed by Israeli fire and 34 others were injured.
• On May 27 and 28, 2026, 16 Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire and airstrikes across the Gaza Strip and 39 of others were injured.
• On May 29, 2026, more than 6 Palestinians were killed by Israeli airstrikes across Gaza, and unknown number of Palestinians were injured.
Total Death Tolls:
• Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect in Gaza on October 10, 2025, 922 Palestinians have been killed, and 2786 have been injured, and 781 bodies have been uncovered from under the rubble of their homes.
• The number of Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,803 with 172,855 injured.
• Israeli authorities have opened the Rafah crossing for limited traffic allowing dozens in and out of Gaza.
• The Ministry of Health in Gaza said 250 patients with kidney failure are facing death due to the lack of medicine. 11,000 patients with diabetes are struggling due to the lack of insulin injections.
• Benjamin Netanyahu said he instructed the Israeli military to expand its control of Gaza to 70%, and reports suggest that the Israeli military will recapture the Netzarim Corridor again, dividing what remains of the Gaza Strip into north and south again. Israeli tanks have advanced towards the corridor today, but it has not been captured yet.
