Weekly summary of the War on Gaza, August 23
- 15 Palestinians from the Al-Aijla family were killed by an Israeli aistrike that targeted a caravan they used as a shelter in Al-Zawaida in the Central Area of the Gaza Strip.
- 35 Palestinians have been killed across the Gaza Strip on August 20, 20 of them in Khan Younis, 9 in Al-Shati refugee camp.
- The Israeli army has reached the outskirts of Asdaa City in Khan Younis, which hosts 300,000 displaced Palestinians, spreading further panic among them.
- Israeli forces have quickly advanced towards the Al-Qarara seaport, and shot at displaced people and tents there.
- 12 Palestinians have been killed after Israeli forces targeted the Mustafa Hafiz school in Gaza city.
- In Khan Younis, Israel targeted a wifi spot, around which some Palestinians gather to communicate their families, killing some of them. Tawfiq Al-Khalidi, who connected to the internet to do his university exam online was also killed.
- Near Al-Barak Roundabout, eight Palestinians were killed by an Israeli airstrike.
- Israeli forces issued new evacuation orders to the south of Deir Al-Balah, displacing about 100,000 more Palestinians.
- Several Palestinians were killed in Gaza City after Israel targeted the Salah Al-Deen school.
- Seven Palestinians, five children and two women, were killed due to an Israeli airstrike that targeted their tent.
- Six Palestinians from Al-Dabaki family, including a journalist and his wife and children were killed by an Israeli airstrike that targeted their home in Al-Maghazi refugee camp.
- Eight Palestinians from the Hammouda family were killed by an Israeli airstrike that targeted their home in Beit Lahia to the north of Gaza.
- Save the Children released a press statement, signed on by over 25 NGO's that describe the new Israeli orders which forced thousands in Deir al-Balah to flee again, also disrupting the last humanitarian aid hub.
